This year the Irish Championships were held in the Trawlerman Bar, Moville, Co. Donegal. It was a great tournament with competitors from Scotland, England, Ukraine and from all corners of Ireland. The tournament lasted 3 days and was played with the 3 move restriction format. The swiss system was used for pairings. The Inishowen draughts club always host a good tournament and this was no exception. Hospitality was provided in the form of tea and sandwiches which was appreciated by all players. The tournament was 8 rounds with 3 rounds on Saturday and Sunday with 2 rounds on Monday followed by the closing ceremony. The Annual Gerenal Meeting of the Irish Draughts Association was held in the Trawlerman Bar after the last round on Sunday.
